China's Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) opened an industrial base in Zigong City, Sichuan Province, dedicated to producing Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) on April 29th. The project, involving AVIC Chengdu Aircraft Industrial (Group) Co., Ltd. and local government-backed Zigong enterprises, aims to expand China's UAV industrial base and strengthen its position in the global drone technology market. The new facility will focus on high-quality UAV development and has the capacity to produce up to 200 UAVs annually.
