The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS) plan to collaborate on enhancing Nigeria's capital market. CIS President Oluwole Adeosun discussed the need for CBN support to optimize operations and attract more participants, proposing that securities of publicly listed banks serve as marginable securities with specific criteria. Adeosun also urged increased engagement between CBN and PENCOM to address pension fund underinvestment in the equity market.
