Cargojet Inc., a North American air cargo service provider, reported a 9.6% increase in first-quarter profit to $32.5 million, driven by cost-saving measures such as streamlined maintenance processes, optimized schedules, and better shift management. Despite a slight decrease in revenue, the profit equated to $1.84 per diluted share, up from $1.67 in Q1 2021. Cargojet's fleet of 41 aircraft operates across North America.
