Top Australian authors Michelle de Kretser, Tony Birch, and Grace Yee have joined a boycott of State Library Victoria, after it canceled workshops led by pro-Palestinian writers Omar Sakr, Jinghua Qian, Alison Evans, and Ariel Ries. The writers were set to lead the library's Teen Bootcamp workshops, but their services were terminated by the library's management, citing concerns over "child and cultural safety."
