Taiwanese angler from Kinmen, held by China for over a month, may be freed if discharged from military, according to a Taiwanese lawmaker. Hu, 25, and another man strayed into Chinese waters during a fishing trip on March 17. While the other man was released, Hu was accused of hiding his identity as an active-duty officer. Chen Yu-jen, a Taiwanese legislator, said a procedure to remove Hu from the military has begun.
