46-year-old man charged with murder in Hāwera homicide investigation; due in court on May 17. Police arrested the suspect following the death of 26-year-old Whatitiri Whakaruru, who was found seriously injured at a Gladstone Street property in Hāwera on April 22. Police are not seeking any other suspects and are appealing for information regarding the incident on Gladstone Road between 9:30pm and 11pm on April 22.
