25-year-old man arrested in Coalisland, Co Tyrone, for threatening with machetes and assaulting police.
25-year-old man arrested in Coalisland, Co Tyrone, after reports of him threatening people with two machetes. Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) received reports around 1.45pm and arrested the suspect on suspicion of possession of an article with a blade or point in a public place. The man also spat at an officer during his arrest, leading to further charges of assault on police. The suspect remains in custody, and investigations are ongoing.
