49-year-old Lisa Welford from Malton was found dead in the River Derwent, and a 47-year-old Malton man known to her has been charged with her murder. The suspect is due in court on 29 April 2024. Detective Chief Inspector Shaun Page expressed condolences to Lisa's family and friends, thanked the community for their patience and support, and urged anyone with information to contact the police.
