42-year-old man, Willie Gomer, arrested in Piedmont after assaulting an elderly man at ACE Hardware, forcing his way into a home, and attempting to steal the police chief's car. Police used pepper spray and a Taser to subdue Gomer, who is homeless. Gomer is charged with assault with great bodily injury, causing injury to an elder adult, battery of a police officer, robbery, burglary, carjacking, and possessing narcotics.
