The Washington Nationals have placed Joey Gallo on the 10-day injured list due to an AC shoulder sprain. Alex Call from Triple-A is promoted to take Gallo's place on the active roster. Gallo, signed to a one-year deal, has struggled with a .122/.286/.311 slash line and 43 strikeouts. The Nationals, in a rebuilding phase, were looking to use Gallo as a trade chip, but injury recovery comes first.
