Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticised the opposition, stating that the public has to choose between "those who opened fire at karsevaks and those who built the Ram temple". He made these remarks at a public rally in support of Rajveer Singh, a BJP candidate. Shah accused the opposition of keeping the Ram temple issue unresolved for over 70 years and attacking them for not attending the Ram temple consecration ceremony.
