2021 Tokyo gold medalist Marcell Jacobs clocked 10.11 seconds in his return to racing at the East Coast Relays in Jacksonville, Florida, finishing second to Canada's Olympic 200m champion Andre De Grasse, who also finished with the same time. American Trayvon Bromell came in third with 10.14 seconds. Jacobs, who last competed in September 2022, is training in Jacksonville alongside De Grasse, Bromell, and Japanese sprinter Abdul Hakim Sani Brown under American coach Rana Reider.
