Qatar's Shura Council Speaker, Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim, highlighted Qatar's strong interest in AI & cybersecurity at a conference in Cairo. Qatar supports UN efforts for a comprehensive international convention against cybercrimes. Under its National AI Strategy, Qatar established the Qatar Computing Research Institute and the National Cyber Security Agency, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030. Al Ghanim emphasized the need for legislative collaboration with AI experts.
