Pakistan's Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) detected 75,276 power thefts in 222 days, registering 71,540 FIRs and arresting 30,031 accused. The company charged a total of 90,769,366 detection units worth Rs 3,376,105,222 to the pilferers. The crackdown against power theft, under the direction of the Federal Power Division, aims to eradicate the illegal activity entirely.
