Pakistan's KP government plans to construct Tank Zam Dam to irrigate land, generate hydropower, and mitigate flood damage for food security.
Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government, led by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, is set to construct the Tank Zam Dam to efficiently utilize water resources and ensure food security in the province. The dam will irrigate 100,000 acres of barren land, generate 25.5 MW of hydropower, and reduce flood damage. The government also plans to allocate funds for small dam construction to support food security.
