Kansas edge rusher Austin Booker was selected by the Chicago Bears in the 5th round (144th overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft. Booker, who played one season at Kansas, recorded 56 total tackles, 12 tackles for loss, eight sacks and two forced fumbles. He was named Big 12 Defensive Newcomer of the Year and First Team All-Big 12 in 2023. The Bears traded a 2025 fourth-round pick to the Buffalo Bills to secure the pick.
