7-mile stretch of eastbound I-70 in northeast Kansas was closed on 27 April due to multiple semi-trucks turning over in high winds. The accident occurred just east of Chapman at mile marker 313-320. The driver of one semi was hospitalized after the wind blew his vehicle over while changing lanes to avoid a downed tree limb. The Kansas Department of Transportation reported that eastbound I-70 could be closed for several hours due to the incident.
