64lb Dogue de Bordeaux cross Roxy, found emaciated in Boxted, Essex, prompts RSPCA investigation into neglect.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a "shockingly thin" Dogue de Bordeaux cross named Roxy was found hiding behind a bush in Boxted, Essex. Discovered on 21 April, the 64lb dog was taken to a vet by householder Emma Fowler, who alerted the RSPCA due to Roxy's emaciated state. RSPCA inspector Nicky Thorne suspects the dog had been neglected for a significant amount of time. An investigation has been launched to find Roxy's owners.
