2019 floods on Jocko Point were severe, but this year's issue is less dire, according to NFN Fire Chief Melvin McLeod. Sandbag filling resumed as flooding persists, with the most affected areas being along Jocko Point Road. Lack of snow and the presence of rain are key factors differentiating this year's situation from 2019. Over 550 sandbags have been filled so far to protect homes and driveways.
