A fire at a Fond du Lac home on East Division Street caused extensive damage to the basement and first floor. Fire crews were dispatched to the house fire at 10:55 a.m. on April 27. All residents were able to safely evacuate, but three dogs had to be rescued. The fire is still under investigation, and the age, building construction type, and high winds are believed to have aided in the fire's quick spread.
