Food prices in Nigeria increased in March 2024, with boneless beef up 73.78% and local rice up 152.93%.

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported that food prices rose in March 2024, with 1kg of boneless beef increasing by 73.78%, from N2,479.61 in March 2023 to N4,309.16 in March 2024. Local rice prices also increased by 152.93% from N530.08 in March 2023 to N1,340.74 in March 2024. Food prices have continued to rise across Nigeria despite the recent rebound of the naira, impacting consumers' budgets.
