China's cyberspace watchdog has launched a two-month campaign to remove and ban illegal external links on social networks and online platforms. The campaign aims to target users who include such links in their usernames, profile pictures, or account pages, as well as those who post them in comments. Illegal links leading to pornographic or fraudulent content on platforms including WeChat group chats and Moments will also be targeted.
