CBI officer Prashant Sharma, investigating scams in J&K, dies in a road accident in Jammu. Deputy Superintendent of Police-rank officer in the CBI, Sharma was returning home when his motorcycle slipped, causing head injuries. He was admitted to Government Medical College, Jammu, but died during transit to a hospital in Punjab for specialized treatment. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has demanded a probe into the incident.
