A Broward Sheriff's Office deputy struck and killed a pedestrian in Pompano Beach, Florida, on Saturday morning. The incident occurred near Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard and Northwest 16 Avenue around 5:30 a.m. Pompano Beach Fire Rescue also responded but pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. BSO Traffic Homicide detectives are investigating the cause of the fatal crash.
