Private equity firm Blackstone is finalizing a revised offer to buy Hipgnosis Songs Fund Ltd., intensifying a bidding contest for the London-listed music rights investor. Blackstone's new offer will improve on Concord's recommended bid, which was recently raised to $1.51 billion. Hipgnosis owns the song catalogs of artists such as Blondie and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
