Cyprus resumed humanitarian aid shipments to Gaza under the Amalthea initiative, a maritime corridor for aid delivery via Cyprus, following a pause due to the killing of seven aid workers from the World Central Kitchen on April 1. The first shipment since the incident has set sail, with a small cargo vessel leaving the port of Larnaca carrying 400 tonnes of food aid donated by the United Arab Emirates.
