39-year-old Maurice Smith from Philadelphia has been arrested for making a fake emergency call about a woman being held at gunpoint in a home in Norwalk, Connecticut. The Norwalk Police Department discovered Smith was the ex-boyfriend of the victim and charged him with first-degree false incident report, second-degree breach of peace, and risk of injury to a child. Officers responded to the scene but quickly determined the call was a hoax.
