13-year-old Liutauras Cemolonskas discovered a rare Lego octopus worth £100 on a Cornwall beach, believed to have originated from a 1997 cargo ship spill that lost nearly 5 million Lego pieces. Only 4,200 octopuses were onboard. Beachcomber Tracey Williams, who runs the Lego Lost At Sea project, is documenting washed-up Lego pieces and aims to create a scientific paper on their drift patterns.
