47-year-old Boston man, Mohammed Chowdhury, was sentenced to nearly 8 years in prison for attempting to hire a hitman to kill his ex-wife and her new boyfriend. Chowdhury pleaded guilty to two counts of use of interstate commerce facilities in the commission of murder-for-hire. The US Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts received a tip in November that Chowdhury was soliciting assistance to have his ex-wife murdered, but the tipster informed authorities that Chowdhury's hitman took the money without following through.
