20-year-old Abu Ghraib abuse case: US jury continues deliberations on CACI International's liability for detainee mistreatment.

A US jury has been ordered to continue deliberations in a lawsuit against Virginia-based military contractor CACI International, accused of liability for the abuse suffered by detainees at Iraq's Abu Ghraib prison around 20 years ago. This is the first time a US jury has heard claims of mistreatment by survivors of Abu Ghraib. The plaintiffs allege that CACI, which provided civilian contractors to work as interrogators at the prison, contributed to their mistreatment by conspiring with soldiers to abuse detainees, even if they did not commit the abuses themselves.
