80 volunteers cleaned up 120 pounds of trash during Sand Harbor State Park's inaugural Shoreline Sweep Volunteer Cleanup, collecting items such as abandoned coolers, umbrella gear, wrappers, and wedding confetti. The significant portion of abandoned clothing and microplastics highlights the importance of responsible waste disposal. The collected trash will be sorted and featured in an art installation at the park's visitor center.
