US asset managers Apollo Global Management, KKR & Co, and Stonepeak are reportedly considering a joint investment of billions of euros in Intel's €17bn semiconductor fabrication facility in Ireland. Intel aims to regain its lost lead in the chip manufacturing business by utilizing extreme ultraviolet (EUV) technology at the facility. The terms of the potential joint venture have not been finalized.
