UK's Royal Navy ship RFA Cardigan Bay joins international effort to construct a temporary pier in Gaza for humanitarian aid delivery. The pier will initially facilitate 90 truckloads of aid, increasing to 150 once fully operational. UK takes leading role in international support, working with US and other partners. The multinational maritime corridor initiative will deliver thousands of tonnes of aid, pre-screened in Cyprus.
