Digvijaya Singh, Senior Congress leader, denied Union Home Minister Amit Shah's claims that he opposed the ban on Popular Front of India and capital punishment for Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru. Singh accused the BJP of contesting Karnataka polls in alliance with PFI's political unit. He also countered Shah's allegation about banning the Students' Islamic Movement of India, stating he had banned the outfit when he was MP's chief minister.
