Poland displays sole Van Gogh painting, "Country Huts Among Trees," from 1883, previously sold for beer.
Poland showcases its only Van Gogh painting, a rare early landscape worth millions, which was once sold for a beer. The artwork, titled "Country Huts Among Trees," dates from 1883 and is from the Dutch artist's impoverished phase when he was learning to paint in The Hague. The Warsaw exhibition highlights the modesty and rarity of this painting, which is the only known Van Gogh piece in Poland.
