A pedestrian died after being struck by a semi-truck on Highway 13 near Linn Aire Avenue in Marion, Iowa, on Friday morning. First responders were called to the scene at 2:54 AM and attempted life-saving measures, but the pedestrian, an adult male, did not survive. The truck driver was unharmed, and the Marion Police Department is investigating the incident. This brings the total number of deaths on Iowa roads this year to 68, including 8 pedestrians.
