Pakistan's Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) underwent a major reshuffle with almost all key members, including the Member Inland Revenue (Policy) and the Member Customs (Operations), transferred to the Admin Pool of the Board. The reshuffle comes before the budget preparation exercise for 2024-25, reportedly due to the Prime Minister's dissatisfaction with the FBR's performance, particularly concerning smuggling and Afghan transit trade.
