Orange Mound, Memphis, opens first public library in revitalized historic Melrose High School with $17m investment, featuring senior residential units.

Orange Mound, a Memphis neighborhood, has opened its first-ever public library in a revitalized historic building, the former Melrose High School. The city invested $17m in the project, which will also include senior residential units on the top floors. The library's design includes nods to the old Melrose, such as the maroon and gold color scheme and replicas of original light fixtures.
