Louisiana Supreme Court upholds St. George's incorporation, making it Louisiana's fifth-largest city.
The Louisiana Supreme Court has ruled in favor of the new City of St. George, reversing lower courts' decisions that denied its incorporation. The state's highest court found legal errors in lower court rulings and determined that St. George's plan for incorporation was reasonable, allowing it to provide proper public services. With this decision, St. George will become Louisiana's fifth-largest city, following New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Shreveport, and Lafayette.
