India's Ministry of Education plans to introduce twice-yearly board exams from 2025-26, aiming to reduce student stress.

India's Ministry of Education plans to introduce twice-yearly board exams starting from the 2025-26 academic session, aiming to reduce stress on students and provide more opportunities for them to perform well. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will work out the logistics and modalities for this new system, ruling out the introduction of a semester system. Consultations with school principals will be held next month, and the CBSE will ensure the new exam schedule does not interfere with the undergraduate admission schedule.
