Ghana's CISA calls for new counter-terrorism law, the Foreign Fighters Act, to address rising mercenaries and extremist recruits.

Ghana's Centre for Intelligence and Security Analysis (CISA) is urging the government to enact a new counter-terrorism law, the Foreign Fighters Act (FFA), to address the rising number of Ghanaian mercenaries and extremist recruits. The FFA would cater to the reintegration of radicalized youth and war returnees, and introduce harsher punishments for those involved in terrorist activities. The current Ghana Anti-Terrorism Act, passed in 2008, is considered outdated.
