Former Michigan basketball coach Juwan Howard joins the NBA as an assistant coach for the Brooklyn Nets under new head coach Jordi Fernandez. Howard, a former NBA All-Star, has previous NBA coaching experience with the Miami Heat and led the University of Michigan to two Sweet Sixteen appearances. His tenure at Michigan ended after an 8-24 season, leading to his dismissal.
