Currys recently surveyed over 2,000 people to investigate text abbreviations and acronyms' evolution, revealing outdated acronyms like LOL, LMAO, and YOLO. The study found that 58% of respondents had misunderstood an acronym and 38% of Brits believe acronyms should be exclusive to those under 25. The top three least-known acronyms in the UK are TNTL, LBR, and SNM, recognized by only 3%, 4%, and 7% of those surveyed, respectively.
