1 climber died, another seriously injured after 1,000-foot fall on Mount Johnson in Alaska's Denali National Park and Preserve. The climbers fell on the steep, technical "Escalator" route on the peak while roped together. The surviving climber was rescued and medevacked, while a rescue helicopter and rangers attempted to recover the body of the deceased climber, but were forced back by deteriorating weather.
