Husky Oil Operations Limited, now part of Cenovus Energy, has been fined $2.5 million (USD 1.83 million) for an offshore oil spill in November 2018 in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The spill involved around 250,000 liters of crude oil released into the Atlantic Ocean due to a subsea flowline connector failure at the White Rose oil field.
