62% of British Columbians in a recent RBC poll believe they need a second job to afford a home in the province, tied with Saskatchewan and Manitoba for the highest proportion of side-hustling potential homeowners in Canada. The poll also found that 32% of BC respondents plan to live with parents longer to save for a home, the highest proportion among provinces, and 67% require family financial support to enter the market. 85% perceive their local housing market as overpriced.
