Assam Rifles in Ukhrul, Manipur opened a Centre of Educational Excellence, providing shelter to 37 girl students from Meity, Kuki and Naga tribes. The centre, in collaboration with an NGO, aims to educate students from conflict-ridden tribes and was established near Churachandpur, the epicentre of ethnic violence. The Assam Rifles believe the centre serves as a "ray of hope" to assist students in achieving their career goals.
