Activists launch "Il-Bankini taċ-Ċittadini" campaign to reclaim public spaces in Malta and Gozo from commercial encroachment.

Activists, including those from Moviment Graffitti and Flimkien għal Ambjent Aħjar, have launched the 'Il-Bankini taċ-Ċittadini' campaign, aimed at reclaiming public spaces across Malta and Gozo from unchecked commercial encroachment. The coalition, which also includes various residents’ groups, emphasised the need to safeguard the interests of common citizens against the dominance of private interests, which have encroached on open spaces at an alarming rate.
