32-year-old Daniel Vogelpohl died in a one-vehicle crash on April 26, 2024, at 12:33 A.M. on County Road 36 in Clinton Township, Seneca County. Driving a 1999 red Mercury Cougar, Vogelpohl failed to negotiate a left curve, causing the car to go off the road, strike trees, and catch fire. Not wearing a seatbelt, he was ejected and sustained fatal injuries. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, including potential alcohol or drug involvement.
