Woman accused in hit-and-run killing of police officer granted bail in Australia.

A woman accused of being a passenger in a car that allegedly killed a police officer in a hit-and-run has been granted bail. Kari O'Brien was charged with murder after Senior Constable David Masters was struck and killed on the Bruce Highway in Burpengary, north of Brisbane, in June 2021. Both O'Brien and the driver, Skye Anne Wallis, were arrested for the murder charges. O'Brien's bail application was successful, with Justice Catherine Muir finding the prospects of a murder conviction are not high.
